Dustin Beaty, M.A., LPC
Counselor
What do I do at CAPS?
My primary responsibility is providing therapeutic support to my clients, both individuals and couples. After serving in the United Stated Marine Corps, I earned both my BS in Religious Studies and MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I have experience in outpatient and residential treatment settings.
What is it like to work with me?
I take this work very seriously, but I seriously love to have fun, too. I help my clients face those challenges that feel insurmountable, break them down into manageable pieces, and work through them at a sustainable pace. When something inevitably goes awry, we'll consider it a learning experience, adjust the course for next time, and likely laugh at ourselves along the way. There's always goodness to be found if we're willing to look hard enough.
What do I do outside of CAPS?
I enjoy playing table games, laughing with my wife, reading to my kids, tending to my house plants, playing around on the piano, and spending as much time as possible with the people I love.
