Stephanie Fusco, M.A.
Resident in Counseling
What do I do at CAPS?
I'm a Resident in Counseling at CAPS, working towards becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a focus in Counseling and a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University.
I have a heart for working with students who are struggling with anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive thoughts and/or behaviors, suicidal ideation, trauma, and those who just find themselves fearful of being alone with their own thoughts and feelings.
What is it like to work with me?
My desire is to foster a safe space where each person who meets with me feels seen, heard, valued, and accepted. I consider it an honor to be invited into the midst of your struggle, to hear your story, and to come alongside you on your journey toward healing.
I believe there is a lot of value and healing in creating rhythms, so I like integrating mindfulness, thought work, self-care, and soul care into the therapeutic process.
What do I do outside of CAPS?
Outside of CAPS, I love going on road trips and new adventures, spending time reading and journaling, having game nights with friends, and hanging out at home with my two cats.
