What do I do at CAPS?

This is my second year with CAPS, and I greatly enjoy doing both individual counseling sessions and helping lead an art therapy group called Insight Through Art. I am in the process of earning my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University, with the goal of getting a license in professional counseling.

What is it like to work with me?

My biggest desire is for you to feel heard and have a safe place to explore the uncomfortable feelings, overwhelming thoughts, and personal wounds that the rest of life pressures you to cover. I believe that on the other side of the risk of vulnerability, there is hope for your story and an opportunity to name your strengths and find deeper peace. I enjoy using creativity in counseling and incorporating Cognitive-Behavior Therapy and Acceptance Commitment Therapy.

What do I do outside of CAPS?

When I'm not at CAPS, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, exploring nature, and spontaneously trying new foods (that I usually don't know the names of). When I'm not out finding an adventure, I also like watching movies and reading books. I'm always down for a recommendation on new suspense novels!
