Brooke Wilde

Brooke Wilde, B.A.

Practicum/Internship Student

What do I do at CAPS?

I am a new practicum/counselor-in-training student here at Liberty University and will graduate with my master’s with a focus in Mental Health in 2025.

What is it like to work with me?

As someone that is new in the field, I strive to create a safe space where anyone can be open without fear of judgment no matter where their walks of life have taken them. A strong therapeutic relationship is important to me because helping others to heal is what brings me joy and happiness.

What do I do outside of CAPS?

When I am not focusing on CAPS and I am spending time with my family and dogs. Other than that, I love music and I love to read – my music list ranges from Bachata to Broadway, Opera to Hip-Hop, etc. My favorite genre will always be rock though. I do come from an Indigenous background, so I do love sharing information about my culture and I LOVE to dance in Pow-Wow’s when I have the opportunity! I love trying different foods from different cultures to expand my taste buds too. My favorite quote is, “Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream by night” (Edgar Allen Poe).
